Peter, it's a real problem getting hold of used standard exhaust cams as they are quite rare now, especially here on PassionFord.
This is because peeps realised that they are actually the "secret cams" that are very suitable for 500 + BHP engines.

Aye, guilty as charged
Have only broken an inlet cam so far. My exhaust cam is relatively intact.
Good luck on your hunt - I got a standard exhaust cam from (I think) a chap called Doug Stirling. Nice bloke! Think he changed his name to something like S8 ECU.....
I'm not sure, think he posts on here every now and then

Apparently Cosworth haven't had any new 4x4 standard exhaust cams in since 1997....

IIRC they a different lenghts - by 8 - 10 mm or so.........therefore one type needs a spacer fitted to suit the head that is used.............not 100% sure on this point

Your 2wd Ex cam is more than capable of shifting well over 500bhp of spent gas James.

Hurrah! Rather more power than I am currently aiming for, though! (this may change though ROFL)
More of an academic question really.

could having the wrong exhaust cam prevent the turbo from producing the boost it is required to due to say a change for a more free flowing exhaust..?
