anyone ever been to tunisia or dominican republic?
looking at honeymoon destinations and someone mentioned tunisia, seeing as were getting married in november want somewhere warmish at that time of year, was originally thinking a city break but tbh theyre more expensive than a week in the sun also looking at dominican republic as seems to be reasonably priced
anyone who's ever been who can give us any info would be great
Edit- or anywhere that will be warm in november that aint too expensive!

we went to Tunisia a few good years ago and to be quite honest I would never go back I knew it wouldn't be great on the way to the hotel when I see a bloke crapping in the street
and if your blonde like my mrs then get ready for the "I give you 50 camels for your wife" joke to be said every other 10 freaking seconds
then there's the little kids selling some flower that to be quite honest smells bloody awful they tend to turn up inbetween each camel joke
we went on a bedwin feast in the desert that was the best bit of the holiday, and the beach was nice and clean apart from that sod all to do

we went to the dominican injan, very nice place, stayed in the playa dorada complex, great beach, great food great people if you have never been to any part of the carribean then you must be prepared to accept showers, the weather can be a little freakish if your not used to it , but the rains warm and generally lasts 10 mins or so for a shower, then out comes the sun and its stunning again !! !
i do have alot of pics somewhere

Tunisia is nice if you like a different culture and history...
Was there in 1985... yep along time ago and i was only 12 years old... but if you go to a resort it is a really nice place to be. We where in the town Sousse. The atmosfere in the Medina in Tunis city is a must.. also a trip to Khartage.. the Roman theatrte in El Djem and much much more if history is interesting.. the temperature is also nice...
My father did not sell my sister for 100 camels so i can't imagine it beeing that bad..

Fookin hot We went in August and just missed a big storm that mullered florida were my mate was
We didn't really do much there, just drink tequila at 10am etc, was too hot for me But there s alsorts to do if you want to
Can't remember the place we went to but the airport had straw roofs
As soon as you get out of the airport / hut It looks like your in bayroot (sp) dudes walking around with guns n shit
Then as soon as you get in the country side you see people guarding green fields with guns n shit
You have to ask shell next time you see her

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I have spent some time in DR, to be honest i can not understand why people want to go on holiday/honeymoon in a compound i was in Casa de Campo which granted is a very nice resort but the moment you go out side it is what i would imagine Beruit to be like, you get hounded by people constantly and the locals can not be trusted to not bother you.
Other options to consider are
St Barths
Bermuda
Montego Bay (but again compound)
Grenada
Hawiaii
i am sure there are more if i thought about it
Hurricane season ends in October the caribbean always has rain showers and winds it is part of being out there,
