right so live mapping is done on the road but obvisouly there are speed limits so how can u map the car 100% when maybe it would lean off at the top when u are ragging it on full load

i phoned up my tuner for a final tweek since ive put on my new cooler and exhaust system and he said the would hook up the gear and 'go rag it' and it could all be done while i wait.

i cant see a tuner risking there licence or life for that matter so they can check the fueling. especially during the day on a busy road

 

mine was done on the A12......2pm on a friday......... .......redline in every gear.............come on!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Most tuners who map on the road alot of the ime have certain routes that they know are safe

 

i remember years ago i had a mazda 323 4x4 turbo(my first 1)

bought it with fucked engine,got another but wouldnt fire properly,i drove it over to mv turbos in fife

john muir fitted new leads and set the car up.......

as said i drove it over on 3 cylinders basically,and this was my first turbocharged car,as i was walking back to collect it i heard a car getting absolutly kained down the road,as i got closer the car came screaming round the corner.......john had had it out on the road to set the boost etc

it had yokohama semi slicks on with the yokohama painted white on the side after he had been out in it,it was all scrubbed off.......i was just really pleased the car was going right........but i trusted him as he knows what hes doing and he can defo drive thats for sure

ha ha to cut a long story short his garage was on a country road so he was able to give it some,as he did in my last 2 cossies also

 

The engine doesn't care about speed!

Ideally you do need to hold the car flat out to check the top line for prolonged periods to ensure it's safe to be held flat out.
