as above

need to try start my birds car, can i try jump it from a diesel?

I have in the past . I know they generally have a battery with more amps so that would help rather than hinder a jump start i would have thought .

just thought i'd check! i know fook all bout diesels and dont want to, i have no intentions of running a farm n buying a tractor

You can jump start pretty much any car of any other...

Although I tried to jump start my track car from my dads Lexus hybrid once... I gave up when the only cables I could find were about 5cm thick, and I remembered that it uses 250,000 watts

we've got some dodgy jump leads that look really thin (5cm is huge!!!) and i dont think they were any good because you couldnt directly jump the car. you had to wait a min to charge the other battery. was weird but just want getting much current going through the cables

Not if it's 6 volt or postive earth you can't
