Default Esccos Gearboxes...

How hard are they to change - Is it possible to do the without a ramp, or is that like attempting the impossible!!!

You can do it without the use of a ramp, bloody hard work though imo

Quite do able Kim, but a pain without a ramp.

Just get a Phill. I did, and he's done mine 4 times in the last year, so he's pretty good.

He'll be at the Ring with us again this year if you need to borrow him!

Seriously though, ok job with a bit of know how. Get hold of a ramp if you can though.

"easy" enough on the floor but heavy.... done it on my own but took me most of a day... compared to 2-3 hrs on a ramp

Thanks for your replies guys, we want the esccos for the ring, but the clutch has gone, so we need to replace the clutch, but not sure the gearbox will hold out as its crunched in 3rd since he had it chipped up about 12 month ago, so we aint going to risk it, want to replace the gearbox while we are at it!! all in 2 weeks

it is worth while getting the box rebuilt while its out getting the clutch done.

give Marco a shout over the box, don't think it will be done in time for the ring though.

if it does break you only lose 3rd gear though, still got the rest to get you home.

any info give me a shout.

i would give Stu a hand but i'm too busy in work and i'm doing 7 days still.
.
don't forget to skim the flywheel too

it might be a case of just putting it back in the way it is.

and doing it on ramps or without them.

any advise just give me a ring.
