Regarding the beams, you pays ya money and ya makes ya choice.

The basic Zoo one starts at £550, you then add £150 for a strapped version, then £150 for the Motorsport spec rose joints. IMO I would definitely have these .

Ahmed's fully adjustable beam with the Motorsport spec rose joints (the only type he is prepared to supply) is £1k + cost of painting.

I don't know how much Danny's are.

All this is plus fitting and setting up (which is the most crucial thing) .
mike as you know the cheaper rose joints like you had on your old beam over 3 yrs ago stood the test of time yes the rusted away n looked fuked but fact is they never broke even the cheaper joints have 32,00 lbs loading
as for copying ameds beam that not true i designed my zoo beam as it become well before zoo ever even came together as a company basicly i made a beam with slotted inner pick up points and played with it till it got where i wanted it i seen pics of a armed beam yrs ago but never had one to copy from
when i was happy with it how i wanted it i also put a jag diff into it also well before me rich and sean got togther to form zoo
£550 is the buject entry beam which is same as any other expect i have toe in ajustment i am the only one that straps and beefs up the trailing arm as from yrs of experance know what happens to them under load
mike you be pleased to know your old beam fitted back into the jig that it came out of 4 yrs ago so i think thats proven it

i got my know how from working for ferrari doing jig work i went on chassie design and development courses when i was there
so i think am qualified to work on shonky old sierras

A rear beam is one of the first mods I did to my Sapphire - even when it was on greens, I had one of Ahmed's beams and 3-door TCAs and hubs - it transforms the car. My Sapphire is still the best handling rwd car I have ever driven.... It wasn't the fastest on track (due to it's lack of traction), but it was SO MUCH FUN - no big steering inputs, just getting it around tight bends with the throttle .

Ryan,
You're starting with the wrong shell - the 3-door is as rigid as a jelly .

No probs in straight line (yawn ), but obviously with the weight shifting around in cornering, 500bhp is ALWAYS going to over-come the tyres. Even with slicks I would just paint the circuit with 2-black lines EVERYWHERE - ask Martin (Dumped), it was just a total hoot to drive .
