rolling roads?????????
whats a well known decent roling road,no further down from scotland than say manchester/liverpool?????
me and couple of mates are real curious to see what our cars will make on diffrent rollers as a guy i know at work has a print out saying his 4x4 saph made 406bhp on greens.t35 on standard bottom end and head....and honestly dont believe it to be realistic............
so we are thinkin of going somewhere for a weekend away and cut this in and compare graphs...............................

there will be a Dyno dynamics in falkirk within a month.
Dastek rolling road at Extreme in Whitburn is meant to be ok.
IMO wait for the DD in Falkirk as Im going to put mine on too.
If ran correctly it should be comparable to all other DD ones in the country.

i had my evo remapped down there and found the place great. As youve already said the MLR lads speak highly of it too, ive not heard a bad word against them.

What about Star Performance he does mostly VAG stuff but i have used him for a couple of power runs, as he is only 10 min along the road from me. Cant mind what make of rollers he has but the printouts i have had wernt far off what was expected.

what about ashkirk services in hillington
it got posted on a local cruise site im on and this was the info i got
when q'd about the coastdown method this was the reply
must be worth the hours rr time just to see
on another note ive had mine rr at robinson and made 180@fly and 149@wheels at ava the following week so seems there pretty much bang on with each other, still wouldny take my wanes push bike to robinson as they were a bit amatuer in there approach

Its a 4WD Dastek dynamometer with centrifugal fans. Utilising Telma retarders, high resolution shaft encoders and knurled friction rollers. Hardware control and datalogging via a Windows XP terminal with 16 open inputs for VAC/boost, oil pres, oil temp, air temp, pre/post IC temp, wideband lambda/AFR, etc etc. No need to hold cars at fixed RPM points to sample power (nice way heat soak). @ Wheels power given and flywheel figure calculated via coast down.
If a dyno system doesnt have inbuilt enviromental data acquasition (for barometric pressue, temperature etc) then the operator can fugde in a correction factor value to play with the final figure. I've seen it done by accident on Dyno Dynamics machines when then the dude doing the power run forgets to check for changes between running cars on the dyno.
