Default Number plate querry???
What are legalities on having the old style of plate ie: Black background with silver lettering pressed into it . as i've just seen a golf which is way newer then the rst with them on and think they would look better then the yellow and white ones..

Anybody know??

Has to have been constructed before 1st Jan 1973

so how do ppl get away with it on newer cars , saw some on a mk4 golf earlier..

Same as they get away with mis spaced lettering, eventually they will get pulled.
