Default Have you ever let ur mate drive ur car?

OMG

He is a good mate of mine and used to driving FAST cars, so I let him have a go..

HOW much different is it in the passenger seat?

He took it over 6k in EVERY gear, and tbh, the car scares me now moreso than before

Scared me to fook

Ive never took it past 5300 in any gear, but FUCK ME does my car shift when drove properly....

I need to take my girly pants off and rag it

Warleydaddy, ur next for a go when ive had it checked with Karl and the oil changed to Mobil 1 15/50

I totally agree with the 'it's a different perspective from passangers view'.

When i was driving my dads S4 he thought it was different and faster.

I let my best mate rag my old S2 round teeside autodrome on our track night, he propper kicked its head in including going from limiter in 4th up into what he thought was 5th but was actually 3rd

We also had a bit of a battle when he took my same S2 to cumbria last year and i took the cossy, had a bit of a dual on the way home and he got past me i was fuming getting raped by a S2 then i realised it was my S2

Totally different feeling when you in the passenger seat though

Bri.

Not until they have been taught how to drive it

That consists of :
Get in, shut the door, and dont lift until the white light comes on

I've been driven as a passenger in my car and I will have to agree it really does show you what you car is capable of.

Agreed, always feels a lot faster in the passenger seat and you lack the feeling of control. I also find I feel like im far too close to the hedge and keep on thinking that we are going to hit parked cars when we are passing them.

Ive also noticed with my mates, the ones that drive like lunatics are the ones that are the biggest girls in the passenger seats, and then the ones who have never drove are the ones most chilled out. I think im the same. Before I passed my test, I was really chilled out in the passenger seat, but the longer ive owned my license (10 years now!) the worse I get at being a passenger.

after reports came back to me that my "mate" was pulling handbrake turns and generally ragging the absolute shit out of my motor when i only told him to go and get the exhaust sorted i have never let anyone else drive any of my cars again

i let the old man take the granada and he came back with half the bumper hanging off when he ripped it off in a car park
my brother was with him and told me all about it and he had the fookin cheek to say that it was ilke that when he took it and if i didn't like it tough

needless to say, he doesn't have the keys to any of my cars now

yeah Ive let my mates drive my car, not fast when Im in it though.
I did drive my mates 2wd 350bhp saff, topped out the gears but not over revved it and he was holding on for dear life, never been so fast in it but I never ragged it it is different not being in control cos "thats not how I would drive it"

The day after I bought my Saff in '95 I gave the old man a go, he walloped it up to 140 in a mile or so, cheeky fooker

Always let my mate have a go of the Cossie round Combe when we go, have to tell him when to brake sometimes though as he starts talking too much and forgets about the corners...

On a bad note, let our ex group chairman take my Saff to Croft last year as I was taking the FRS, he was caught red handed by me hammering it within Croft grounds in the dark on the Saturday night, muppet.

I dont mind mates driving my cars usualy aslong as they have experience of fast cars and have insurance.

I did let my mate do 110mph on L plates once in my RS1800 but they bottled doing a top end run lol.

Only time i've held on in my passenger seat is when Karl drove my S1 when he was setting it up

The only person I tend to let drive my cars is my best mate.

He was the only other person to drive my cossie and that was mainly because if he trashed it I could nick his

He did manage to put my FZRZXRVFR400 into a field though
