Default Anti spywear softwear ??

What anti spywear stuff do you use?

Iv downloaded a couple programs and they always find loads of things rong with my machine, but when asked to clear them i either have to register or subscribe and pay x amount which im not prepaired to do.

What ones can i use for free that are any good.

Any links would be greatly apreciated

Cheers

Ubuntu Linux works for me

http://www.ubuntu.com/

but if you want to run Windows the applications listed above are pretty good and don't forget Windows Defender from Microsoft.

Love the way Microsoft think, rather than do something about the spyware problem in Windows they release an application to clean or tempoary fix it

Windows Defender
Spybot Search & Destroy
Lavasoft Ad Aware

Get a decent AV program with an inbuilt trojan scanner and spyware filter (Avast, AVG, NOD32 etc).

Cheers

Matt
