4x4 diff into 2wd?

hello.. i know that their is 1/2 inch difference but was wondering if this can be spaced with washers and will the 2wd shafts fit onto the 4x4 diff..

shaft flanges are 108 as apposed to 100, you can space, wouldnt recommend running a 4x4 rear diff with a 2wd if were talking cossie, normal sierra fine.

you can space its yes as ford list spacers surpiringly enough
you will need to chang ethe drive shatfs as said due to different flange sizes
be better off sticking with a 71/2 though

ok no worries.. so are the shafts on a 2wd different lengths to a 4x4.. ?
its only as a mate has a low miles one for a 4x4 and my 2wd one is nearly dead.. .. i had an idea about the flanges being different sizes but wondered if just the inner ones on the shafts could be replaced to suit..
