Default Question probably noone will know the answer to.

Will the (pulse) speedo unit from a Granny Scorpio fit in replacement of the mechanical (cable) type speedo unit of a Sierra?

I know i need to sort out wiring etc but want to know if it will basically fit (physically), even with a bit of modding.

Someone i know has a granada sitting with a 2.0DOHC engine that i can basically take anything i want from it lol, which is handy in my case

not if its a t5 equiped cossy

and if the sender did fit in the box you would need to change all the dash clocks over to recieve a electrical signal from the sender

thing is i've got the engine and box from the same type granada. The MT75 2WD box i have has the speed sensor not the speedo cable type.

I still plan to use the sierra cluster but just replace the individual speedo unit, just wondering if it will physically fit into the sierra cluster without too much hassle. THe wiring i can sort out.

(i should have mentioned it was a 1.8 sierra, and now has the 2.0DOHC from the granada in it)

i just need a working speedo. The gearbox doesn't have the hole with the shaft to put the cable into that i have on the car at the moment. It has one of those speed sensor jobs, hence the need for a electronic speedo.

Thats not a question that know one will know the answer to tho is it?

If you want a question like that, then why not ask : how come Hydrosulphuric acid can melt through two inch thick glass, yet does not melt the glass bottle it comes in?
