Default 630 bhp 'kin quick

Just driven a 630 bhp r32 skyline. It was f##king ballistic. Car is actually owned by Nick Hosker on the gtr forum who is selling it. Was contemplating buying it as my every day car. It was built by Rod Bell with pretty much everything done to it. What suprised me was how user friendly it was started up no problem, sat ticking over at 1200 rpm and was happy tootling aroung. On the open road with around 5000 rpm on the clock it just took off friont torque gauge was going crazy and it was squirming like f''k, in the dry in 3rd and 4th. Think it was the quickest thing I have driven including my 340 bhp v8 westfield. In the end I did the boring thing and bought an audi s4.....24 hours later and I think I am regretting it. 630 bhp and £16000 got to be the quickest car for the money.

Im confused on why an S4! Tho as a daily driver its cheaper n easier, they not exactly fun.

An RS4, that a different story (But still not a turning down a 630bhp car story!)

I don't believe that the skyline can rub elbows with the S4/RS4. IMHO. it's NOT about power, but about status sometimes. When you grow up, you'll understand

S Audis are everywhere in the UK tho, dunno about america. I got 2 mates with S3s, and another with a S4, and one with a RS2 (I reaaaly like them tho), they really not seen as that "special" here.

RS are more so, but S's are ten a penny really.

I wouldnt have bought it,your buying somone elses problems when you buy a modified car, done it several times now, so always be prepared to spen a few thousand putting a performance car right once you have bought it.

Let me tell you a full rebuild on a 630bhp skyline motor would not be cheap,.

As i told them on the skyline owners club, my mates was only 500bhp MAX, and its was 7000 quid for a rebuild, 3000 miles later, after carefully running it in,. he's spun a shell,. £3000 to repair it.

parts are to dear bud, unless of course you got plenty coin to have fun with id advise anyone to avoid heavily modded skylines.

An s4 is a fair bit cheaper than an rs4. The skyline was a right tool, if I was after a weekend toy obviously there is no comparison. Also, I planned to give Dingy one hell of a shock lol. Not now though!!

fastmaul, an S4 is hardly a status symbol over here in the UK... you see em everywhere

my parking space outside my house often has an E320 merc and an S4 parked either side of it... when parking i take more care over hitting the merc than i do the audi as afterall its only an audi :P
