Default Annoying telly problem...

Anyone clued up on tellys? I've got a really annoying prob with my 28" Sony Wega, everytime I turn it off it "forgets" what channel it was on and goes back to CH1...

Its only just started doing this, before I always had it on AV1 for the digibox and thats where it stayed, now I have to turn it on then switch it over to AV1 to watch anything...

I also used to be able to just turn the digibox on and it would automatically switch to the right channel, now it won't do it

Its not a major problem but its just a bit frustrating lol

Anyone got any ideas?

Have you changed the scart lead recently?

There is a signal it there that tells the telly to change when you turn on the digibox...

The other option is that the capacitor or battery that supplies a current to the 'memory' circuit has failed.

Sky digibox? They have an option in the service menu that allows you to enable scart switching. Make sure its set to ON.

make sure the scart leads are connected to the right bits, you'll have one for AV and one for somethng else in the back of the sky box

i've got 3 in the back of the telly so the sky and both dvd players run through that

the other thing you might want to check is that if the leads are "fully wired" some of them just supply the signal rather than the switchability

I can confirm its worth spending a little extra for a decent gold scart lead, i noticed the difference from a normal black/silver cheap job to this gold one i got now, crystal clear picture and the sound doesnt have to be up so much

EDIT just thought, why am i saying this its got nowt to do with your problem, oh well
