Default ACT sensor help needed

Right i need to either find a very small act sensor ie about a 6-8mm thread size that will operate at 29ohms , 12v.

or

can I run an XR3i 8v EFI ecu without the sensor plugged in without it fucking everything up ?

Reason im asking is that im doing a very basic, budget zetec on bike t/b's and running with the 3i ecu etc for now and i dont have anywhere large enough to tap in the original ford sensor

This is the only problem ive got left to sort now, well apart from the engine mount, exhaust etc etc

Yup, no need to have it inside the trumpet, just inside the air filter will be fine.

build a plenum with a single throttle plate and put it in there

seriously, as suggested you could have it in the airstream somewhere. but where? will one particular intake be hotter than the others? they are not the most robust of things either and are normally downstream of a filter

Will tie it up and see how it gets on, can always be changed at a later date.
