Default Pc program - help!

Right im being a skinflint and making my own wedding invitation inserts, but just realised that the laptop doesnt have microsoft word/office/publisher on it

any ideas why they dont put them on new laptops now, or any alternative program i can use and open templates with? only thing ive actually got is wordpad

cant believe you dont get any word programs though really bloody annoying that

Because MS Office is quite expensive. They sometimes bundle MS Works, which is a cutdown version with Office compatibility, but good enough for most people.

Use notepad, that is quite good at wedding stationary
