Just get the other side of the plug from whoever made your loom and buy a shiny new collins monitor for less money?

The Collin one doe EXACTLY what the Pectel does (and I mean exactly if you catch my drift ). The only thing it lacks is the data-logging .

How badly do you want one?

I can lay my hands on one.........Thats a Pectel jobbie WITH fuel and ignition trimming.

Like Ryan said, not many about so it wont be cheap.

Would personally still go for the Collins (which I did). The Pectels are like antiques now and unless you have the software to go with it, the datalogging is pretty useless??

M K,
Yes they do one with this feature . As I said the Collin's ones are IDENTICALLY featured bar the lack of data-logging.

To see what one looks like, go on Franco's restoration thread .

another option is the IAW Monitor software from RP Labs via Stu @ Motorsport Developments

includes data logging and trim facility in the pro version for just Ł250

The Collins Pro version does have the trims yes for fuel and ign. They are abour 380 quid I think and connects exactly the same as the Pectel. 4 Wires (3 to the diagnostic connector, and a positive power feed).

They also have 4 spare analogue channels that you could use with other sensors like EGT, oil temp, pressure etc etc.

Think they are available in a choice of green and blue backlit screens too.

Phone Sue Collins and see what they say.

K.Goa looks very good for the price

do you have a link ecu then, or your want to interface it to a pectel datastream?

according to the link website forum, the protocol for ecu communications is 'kept secret', so how will you know what protocol the displaylink unit needs to receive?

shouldn't be too difficult to get the protocol though, either by listening in to a link ecu, or by hacking the freely downloadable PCLink software
