yes! A 2wd housing will bolt to a 4x4 head but will just use 2 bolts instead of the 3..

The water pump goes into the block but the thermostat housing goes into head..... but both fit from 2wd into 4wd heads/blocks.... I had a 200 block and Escort Cos head in my 2wd Saff but fitted with 2wd parts
