The lads a fucking idiot then, i wouldnt race for log books no matter how confident i was that i would win. Imagine if a boost pipe popped off, or you got a puncture?

IMO he's watched the F&F one to many times.

my money would go on the evo if they are both 360 bhp. evos just seem so much quicker in the right hands. i would never race for cars though no matter how confident you are. maybe hes lieing and he really has 450+bhp

Had a play with a Evo 8 320 today on a nice bit of test track lol

Was suprised at how short the gearing is on them.

couple of vid clips of my evo 5 so you cossie boys can compare

0-120mph with very gentle launch and slow gearchanges

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/09...20mphsmall.flv

100mph to limiter - had to keep easing off every now n again as it was a little busy with traffic on this track session

I'd say evo...

There are a few out there that are low bhp but devastatingly efficient...

With the risk of sounding like a total knob jockey, my S2 pulls a fair bit quicker than that over a ton. What power is the Evo putting out?

4wd evo has more transmission losses, therefore it could well be the cossie

I would say the difference would be minimal and it would all be down to driver ability.

Rick you knob jockey its 365bhp/345lbft, ind kit, decat exhaust, 1.35 bar

going by the spec of your rs turbo i can well believe its quicker past a ton, fwd and a lot less weight with similar power.

why just a straight road, why not make it fair and have a long straight aswell as a few sweeping bends,,,,, why have a steering wheel if you only wanna race in a straight line

The cossie will be quicker, more aero dynamic and lighter weight as long as its a race where the cossie is fully hooked up and not from a standstill or a low speed. I had my Tommi beaten by a 3dr running a std t3 but greens and lots of boost

Mr Brannen, what have you done to her since you brought her ?? my bet is the Evo would spank your arse all over the show, but then i know what you car used to go like atleast, why not chuck in a few bends and then see what happens

Would be fun though, this is the one thing Graham and myself never did put them up against each other,

There is no way from a standing start for the Cossie to pass the Evo...

At 360bhp The Evo runs in the 12s 1/4 mile...

From a rolling start i would say the cossie because it is lighter and it has 2wd, thus less tranny loses...

Simply run two races and see...

having bends is not fair Mike, it will probably end up with another written off car

who gives a real shite what is quicker, the rvo is a much better car even if it may not be as fast as a taxi in a straight line

dont do a standing start with an evo

rolling from 50 should be close to 120 the cos should win after 120sih

my mate has evo 8 380bhp and it shows 180 on clock
