no oil pressure in gtr. wtf
any ideas. On motor way put foot down to over take a moron, light comes on pull over, growling noise no oil pressure. No smoke etc. . . . .w t f

think its spun a shell when come on boost
story is as follows,...
take a mate to ppick up jeep from leeds,...
get to m55 turn off to blackpool, and its closed,..so detour towards lancaster way....
100 yrds after m55 turn off, go to over take,....comes on boost, no oil pressure,....slight rattly noise,...
mate sets off to get his towing gear which in blackpool....
he makes it 800 yards yp motoray, and gets a puncture....
no spare wheel, so he phones his g/f to bring one,...which is at home,...
she turns up, he fitswheel, off they go to get tow pole, and beacons...
from blackpool....
just this second got in from being towed, time is 450am

been looking into it, and it looks like its a common fault on the gtr 32
the oil pump shaft is ever so slightly smaller than the collar in the carnk it sit s in,...iirc,...
and over time just wears it away,...
possible cures are
a) having a new thicker collar machine onto crank...
b) buy a gtr34 crank which alrady has the collar fitted..
new oil pump is Ł614 for tomei uprated jobby
