Pod Tomorrow - Advice and predictions
decided at the last minute tonight to go to santa pod for a blast...
sitting here now i'm thinking that any advice might be helpful, seeing as i'm a 1/4 mile virgin
don't get me wrong i know how to drive, but any tips or quirks to improve my times will be greatly received
car is 2wd with 420bhp (won't list spec unless anyone wants it lol, although you can just click <<< under my avatar)
i know what i'm aiming towards, but what dya reckon people ??

Yeh I;d prob go 5.5-6k and side step and feather the throttle..
mAYBE drop a bit of pressure out of the rear tyres.
Dont do a burn out.. you'll more than likely over heat the diff oil and potentially fuck it- pointless on road tyres anyway unless you do it long enough to melt it.
Make sure all your electrics are off.. radio etc
Plant your right foot HARD into the carpet.
Jake
PS- expect somet to break- its a Ford and a COSWORTH

i hope summat doesn't break, all the bits are dear
the weak link is surely the diff on the strip? and the quaife shouldn't be troubled too much at my power i'd have thought?

will be hard to get a perfect launch on any high power 2wd car...

i can launch fine when pissing about, but obviously the surface is totally different
although if my terminals are ok i won't feel too shameful at a slowish time

i'd be delighted with a 12 for my first time...but i don't expect it tbh, i'll see how many runs i can get in, i'd like 120+ terminals too

With your extra power you should get a 12
