any mobile phone experts? is my phone stolen????
bought a brand new nokia n73 off ebay in january, worked perfectly until yesterday, then came up withsim card registration failed
the phone is a factory unlocked version, i have tried several sim cards, from different networks, but the same message appears.
is it stolen, and has it had a bar put on it????

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
NO i had the same problem but with a brand new one from orange, i had 3 of them at once and one of them always played up I thought it was the user But then it stopped working so i had to call orange and they told me to put some code in it and tell them what software vershion it was and they said yes that one is out of date we will send you a new phone out.
The funny thing is the other 2 phones i have got and work fine all have the same software vershion on them

This happened 10 years ago to me with Vodafone network, i didnt use the phoen for 3 weeks as i was out of the country then i get a bill for Ł220
I told vodafone to provide me with an itemised bill which they ever sent me, in the end they barred the phone and ive never heard anything since.

Sim card registration failed wouldnt necessarily say to me its stolen, for example when a pay as you go sim card expires, you would get that message!
As said above, ring your customer service number and give them the IMEI number, they can soon tell you being as the IMEI number is what is used to blacklist a handset.
