Default Would you travel to sell your car?

Some chap wants to buy my car and is in Cheshire (im in Swindon) thing is he says he cant get down here and wants me to take the car upto him. He has only seen pictures of the car which i sent him along with the spec. He has offered to pay me a deposit through paypal (which i use) but am still unsure if i should travel all that way?

its an easy train ride for him to swindon station! then you dont have to worry about him and all his dodgy mates nicking your motor on their turf or similar! he wants it he has to go to it,i dont phone a local garage and ask them to bring a car to me to look at!

It'd be different if you were selling your E reg Nissan Micra to someone 50 miles away, but it's not a Micra, and it's not 50 miles away (don't you just hate it when ppl spell out the obvious? ). It could well all be safe and sound, but you don't want to get caught out.

If you travel up there, he has the advantage, he would be able to knock you on the price heavily cos hw knows you don't wanna go home without selling.

pfff id do it personally.

as long as i had a big enough deposit to cover time, fuel etc then yeah i wouldnt mind. id take a mate anyway regardless just for company and then id just arrange to meet at a supermarket or something.

dont see a problem with it personally

if you need to go i'd take a few big mates and tell him to meet you at a well populated area.. supermarket carpark or whatever. And if he wants a test drive, you drive it with the potential buyer in the car with atleast another one of your mates, or all!

But i'd just tell him to get his ass down if he wants it coz after all, how are you supposed to get back home?

if hes paying deposit no problem

i buy a few motors and have the peeps drive em to me, normally pay 100 quid dep or somin to show true commitment

end of day if he is willing to pay that he is serious and as long as you have described car honestly should be no problem
