hi can you run a s2 turbo safely on a s1
obviously you haven,t got the water cooling bits connected ,
does this matter as s1 turbos aren,t watercooled

I'd immagine it would be a good idea to conect a water feed upto it

2 good sides to an ever lasting argument,...
i deal with turbo s on a very regular basis, and EVERYTIME, i advise that the waterpipes should be fitted.
however, this is mainly due to if it isnt broke, why change it.
some people have had bad experiences without watercooling, and some havent.
i have found there to be a big difference when in traffic, obviously at low temps, the water does help to cool the unit, but some people do prefer do run without....
best id say is that your best off putting an oil cooled core on a s1, as the s2 cores have a jacket to allow the water through the uni, and obivously the s1 hasnt, but is slightly bigger to allow more oil into the turbo
either way, if you nail your car, and turn off soon after, it will still kill it wether soley oil cooled, or water and oil cooled
