just wondering what is the fastest someones had out of one?cheeRS

ive had 125 out of mine and it wasnt at the limit, should be good for 130+ if you have a long enough bit of road

mines are 4x4 so its pretty heavy

weight is 1165-1240 according to handbook i think 4x4 is more than 1240 tho

ive seen 130 on mine so i suppose thats about 120 in reality
wipers dont half whistle at that speed

are you sure? ive seen 120 in my 1.8 zetec GTi, im sure i could have had more if the road was longer


EDIT that was 120 on my clocks, no gps or nowt

Had my 2wd 1996 off the clock at 140.

No bullshit, thats what the clock said. It did take ages from 130 though.

snap i had my old 96 2wd off the clock as well,slowed down from 135 but pulled round!!

ive seen 125 in my 1.8si on the clock and the same in my RS, sure the RS has a higher top end tho, just dont fancy risk getting caught doing that sort of speed

I have wound my mk6 2wd round to 137, on the limiter in 5th. That is with the 6500 rev limit but most chips move this to 7000rpm so 140 should easily be possible.

There is a very real difference between speedo speed and actual speed.

My old 2i had a clock reading of 130mph but Performance Ford's very posh test kit said 119mph

i thought that most speedos r bout 10% out, The speed performance ford recorded 4 Oranoco, xr2i would back that give or take a couple of mph imo

i had a burn up with my m8's civic type-r and my clock was at 140 and he was behind me and his clock was at 140 then he overtook me
