engine swap

ello,

How easy would it be to swap a diesal engine for a xr3i engine in a mk5 escort 55 van???
what would be needed?

Also how about swapping it for a tdi lump?

need to know as the engine is a bit fooked and my brother wants to swap it for something with a bit more go lol

I think you need a lot of 'stuff' to go with it - eg XR3i fuel tank has a swirl pot in it, the van one won't, so that needs to be sorted. I can't remember how sorry
