Heres a question, is the gearbox right at the back or are the intake pipes on the wrong way round in the second pic?

Seriously id love a 348, but was just put off by the maintenance costs. as it turns out, i hardly use my escos so could actually justify getting one now. Still dont think i could let the escos go for one though, not just yet anyway.

Am i right in thinking performance figures are about 6 sec to 60 and 14 qurater mile? Not amazingly fast, but look awesome, maybe even better than a 355 in my opinion.

...a man with taste

..0-60 is 5.4 seconds top speed 175mph...only 320bhp though but have an 8200rpm limit...and sound AWESOME with a sports exhaust.

Maintanance is a killer though ...although fortunately i supply a ferrari dealer and a bloke who is ex ferrari.....so its not as expensive as it could be..the first full cambelt service was 3k from an independant...then i needed a clutch...but i was very lucky and instead of 1200k it was only 700 quid back door ...just getting the climate working as the compressor fucked up...fortunatly a grand job only cost me 400 quid as we recon the pumps!....tyres are not too bad as you can get second hand ones...and i run the 355 18inch wheels so its shod on the rear with 275's ...had to do a wiper arm and i got it from bosch the cost to me was still 120 quid though!....so thats all so far ...has sailed thru 2 mot's now too which is always a worrying time

Does sound expensive to run if you do loads of miles, but id only be doing a couple of thousand a year. I suppose the main thing is to buy a decent one in the first place and maybe one thats had most of the expensive things done, to get a head start.

What are the service intervals then? Cambelt change intervals and the life of clutches etc?

Im really liking the idea of one more than ever now. Got to be RHD though.

They do look absolutely awesome............

..clutch is depends on how you drive....10k seems the average...mine is a twin plate job the later is single plate all about the same price though....service is yearly never looked at milege as i only do about 2k anyway!....cambelt is 5 years ..was 3 years but a better quality cambelt and tensioner is avalible.

Buy the best you can thats just had everything done...go for higher milage as its used and nothing will be rotten..lol....mine has now done 65000miles!!!

Here is a dirty mine

I dont think the engine is anything special

Not a huge fan of Ferarri anyhow and think they are overpriced status symbols, same as Ducati's really

Would far rather listen to an old 2.1 Pinto on 44 IDF downdrafts bouncing off its 8000 rpm limiter

No mate, seriously.... if you were to hear the two of them being thrashed around a track im sure the one drawing the most attention would be the Pinto Unless of course you are a 10 year old school kid

i would do a better job than most of the "cheap" cambelt change specialists you see! they dont retime the cams, just mark the pulleys and renew the belts

BTW,,, i havent got spiky hair
