That's what I said wasn't it?

With a sponge, you'll obviously need it wet! Thus leaving watermarks and streaks on the paint if you use a shammy (sp) so more work to remove them!

My point is that the Meguiars will clean the paint and polish at the same time for minimum effort! Fuckin PF FFS!

I dont think you quiet understand how the motorcycle cleaner works, you could spray it over the whole car then use a bucket of water and a sponge and wash the car its basicaly like a shampoo that you spray on.

It seems more effort to polish the front of the car rather than just wash the car as normal but with some of the mc cleaner sprayed on the front

Does that leave the water marks on the paint though?

As i said you use it when your washing the whole car, you wouldnt just wash the front of your car or bike would you unless you wanted a 2 tone car

Your point about water marks is irrelivent its like saying do you get left with water marks when you wash your car with water, then saying fuck that i'm not using water then

How can it be irrelevant? The POINT IS that Meguiars doesn't need water ffs!

I cant be arsed to read all that other crap - but by far the easiest way I have found is to use a cloth or a chamois, soak it in very hot water - about as hot as you can stand to put your hands in, then lay the cloth over the pannel, leave for a minute then the bugs just wipe off.

Works great on crash helmets too!

thought alloy wheel cleaners have some sort of acid in them to cut through the brake dust, dont think its wise to put this type of spary on a cars paint, but having said that ive seen these Ł2.50 car wash places spary this stuff on the wheels & on the front & the back of door mirrors , thought the power from the jet wash would be enough to get rid of the bugs.

Most alloy wheel cleaners are non acidic (or the ones I use are, Nilesons products) I have used wheel cleaner before to do it but I wouldn't reccomend it.

The hot chamois idea is a good one and another is just sponge on some neat car shampoo and leave it for a while then wipe off, that always worked well for me.

In 6yr of valeting I mainly used tfr (lightly mixed) or a few other things I learnt along the way.

Dan

Its irrelevent because like i said you put it on WHILST washing the car so theres going to be water marks on the car through washing it anyway. I dont know i might be different from everyone else but i tend to clean th whole car not just remove the bugs.

So when you use this miricle miguires stuff is it before or after washig the car. The reason i ask is because if you use it before washing there is going to be water mark after you have finished anyway, if you apply it after washing then whats the point cause you might as well of used my method and saved time and effort and got rid of the bugs whilst washing it
