But its done 165 in just under 9secs, so id guess WELL under all the above times inc the Veyron.

Board freaked out again, and Stavros beat me
In 2006 AMS continued to run quicker times in the Drag Evo 8 working down to a 8.97 @ 165 mph.

Now it is, im talking about what keith/mark said on its old spec engine (which was nowhere near the power the new one is) when mapping at brunters and on testing the day before TOTB.

When it ran 201 it ran 2.5bar & a 150 shot, it had a restrictinve exhaust & a very inefficient nitrous set-up. At the end of the straight it had about 690bhp we estimate.
The 206 was run on the above Spec + gt40 & Race Fuel a decent exhaust & a 200shot we guess 800 max.
When we split the Block it had the new 'push systen fitted which gives at least the full 200 shot all the way down. Estimate 850+.
The new Spec engine has a different (Mark says I cant tell) Turbo & much wilder cams. Again I cant suggest Power from the engine, but the Target figure is silly & it will be close to the magic 1000bhp on the gas & I aint one for Bullshit. It will be Dynoed off the gas as its a lot of aggro to fit the nitrous on the Dyno & it will be RR with the full bash.
It will be around 200bhp more than when the 206 was run, but remember we hit 210 in that Spec unofficially as well. Power wise we should hit 215 in 1.5 miles, but Im not sure even Mark can hold his nerve at that sort of speed its a very hairy ride at 210 & near the cars limit. 212 will see an end to this lunacy.

i've seen the cams rod and compared them to my GT30 cam
its quite silly, makes mine look like something out of a christmas cracker
cant wait to see it finished, hopefully i'll be able to get a passenger ride

can i ask why you want to hit 212mph rod?
i dont think anyone will ever put the time,money and effort into beating your old record so whare does the desire to push even further come from?

...tbh to take a car that was only ever designed to do 150mph and go and do 212mph is pure lunacy and a death wish IMO....i think you are lucky to be here by hitting 200mph and i would certainly think before you try for the new speed...you have done it IMO the first to 200mph thats the only magic number there is for that car anymore is pointless and too risky.
..i mean taking my sierras past 130mph felt hair raising to say the least ...i took the amg to its limiter the other night and it felt so safe..

If you look at the attention to detail he has, I'm sure its as safe as it can be.
Put it this way, I'd rather be doing 200 in rods car, than on your bike!
Anyway, I didn't know taking cars to the limiter was your scene, didn't you used to get scared after 3rd gear in your Saph?
