RST missfire at about 5k RPM. Strange.

RST missfire at about 5k RPM. Strange.
Hello peeps! 
Can someone try and help me out?
On my rst, over the last few days, its started to develope a missfire at about 5k upwards. If i floor it, sometimes it does'nt do it, its a bit random really.
Although, when going through the gears, its tends to do it in 2nd gear mostly (bit strange i know), and it's a PROPER missfire too.(loud bang, etc)
Anyone got any ideas on what i can check?
Its running NGK Spark plugs, and ive been told this "could" be it.
I would very much appreciate it as i have a rolling road day tomorrow. TYPICAL!!!

the miss fire at 5k imo would be cam imo
