A friend at work has a Focus ST and up to now has been using supermarket petrol.
Does the engine managment have knock sensors to detect petrol quality and run more advance/boost with the good stuff?
cheers

Hi,
I have a ST and have used supermarket petrol since i purchased the car. However i thought that i would give the Shell V-Power a try.
I instantly noticed a difference with the V-Power petrol, the car seemed to idle better and pulled alot harder.
Defiantly worth putting in a tank or 2 in just t expercience the diference.
Hope this helps.

I'd never use Supermarket petrol it's generally low grade cheap crap.
Leave that for Corsas and Micras not a performance Ford! Super makes a big difference I've found on many cars I've owned.
