got our runaround in December & the guy said he couldn't find the history & log book at the time because he had just moved,,, i've asked for the stuff a fair few times since & harrased him for the last week as the tax is due, tonight he says he's found the history but can't find the logbook
he said if i gave him the money he would tax it, i asked if he was still insured on it, he said no which means he won't be able to tax it

i'm going to phone the DVLA tomorrow to see if they can sort anything, otherwise i will have to get another car to use for a while!!!

You gotta go the DVLA office,
Fill out a V summat or other (lost log book form)
Show your MOT and Ins and i think a recipt for buying the car, hand over cash for the road tax rip off fund and voila, your done.

Go post office with the other required bits, fill in V5 Vechi reg doc application, fill tax application and they should give the tax and send off lb application sorted

You can not get a tax disc without either a log book, the part off the bottom or the TAX reminder. You can get a V62 form from the postoffice for duplicate log book, I had the same problem today
