Can u run a 32/36 position pickup on a P8?

Basically for running a FRST flywheel pickup for the crank signal.

or does it have to be a 4 position pickup?

Cheers

Ryan

No.....Not as far as I know.

IMO the ecu has not the processing speed to cope with that.

I had the same issue with my XR2T, i tried an 1800cvh pulley and machined the lug's off just leaving the 4, but you need to file a new keyway in the middle of the wheel, as were the lug on the wheel is missing for the 1800 crank sensor you need a lug if you use the 1800 sensor bracket,
It was a real pain in the arse due to space, As i've now got a SECS S8 ECU i just used a standard 1800 wheel as it can run 4 or 32minus1 set up.

Hope that makes sense

Yor'e supposed to pull the trigger ring off the crank pully then lightly sand out the inside so it slides freely on the crank pulley to line up exactly where you need it!
Then lock it off with grub screws!
