Whats the matter with your diff now?
If it ain't broke then don't try and fix it mate! I run a ZF plated one now but before that I was running a standard 4x4 rear diff for ages with no problems!

Speak to Marco Polo on here (if he's not who you have spoken to already)
He'll advise you well - he runs I think 400+ bhp RWD so should know what to supply. I run one of his rear diffs on 4*4, and it worked fine before the engine died!

why not just buy two low miles diffs and save your money..
ive got 2 in the backgarden awating a fitting..
got a phone number & name for Roscoe Engineering now..off a good mate
the splits not 50%50 on the diffs power wise but theres on much in it ..
so you gonna uprate your front one too

My cars getting an engine rebuild just now and i was thinking bout uprating the rear one aswell. Already got a strenghtening plate for the front one from ATM, anyone know if they're any good?
you need the rear beam hubs shafts and everything, but that does cost less than a quaife diff for the 7 inch. (which doesnt help anyone)
if a strenghtening plate will be enough depends on the power.
front differentials doesnt cost to much so no problem breaking one, and then uprate later.

Cheers for letting me know, i'll go down that route instead now.
The planet gears of the 2wd diff are weaker than the ones of the 4x4 one
. You should only be going to a 2wd diff if you're fitting a Quaife or ZF plated or such that eliminates the OE planet gears. The reason being then that you would be fitting the 2wd shafts and joints, which ARE much stronger than the 4x4 items....
