Default What was you doing on Sept 11th...........

We all no its 3years tomorrow that the trade centres got hit & i still carnt believe how quick time has gone by. Its a strange feeling that everyone i speak to, or talks about the subject, new exactly were they were at that time & date

I was with JC & others & we were all waiting to get on the ferry to come home from the Ford show in Holland & the day at the Nurburgring We heard it briefly on the radio before setting off, so we didnt no what had happened until we got to Hull the next day

Were was you when it happened ............................

I was sat watching the telly, just about to jump in the van for my afternoon deliveries. My mum phoned all shocked telling me to put sky news on cos she couldn't believe what she was seeing. As I flicked over, the second plane hit.

At work and a girl next to me spoke to her boyfriend, and said, a plane has crashed into the trade centers in NY, i said yeah right (my sister was due to fly to NY next day so thought she was having me on)

Still sends shivers down my spine when i think of it. Visiting NY next year, would like to pay respect to all them poor souls who died!

You may not believe it, but I was in the middle of sacking someone when the first plane hit...

Worst bit () was trying to get hold of someone to close down his network access to prevent him from causing any damage to us.

Once he was out of the door, I watched it all on TV with the rest of the folks in the office, I felt really bad for my colleagues who were abroad at the time and flying home in the next few days, also half expected to hear that some of our partners in the US had died which thankfully wasn't the case.

I kinda feel bad writing this now, cos sacking him was probably the least of mankind's problem at the time

I will never forget where I was till the day I die.

I was driving back from London, after having been shopping for a new suit.

I caught a little of it on the radio in the car, got home, switched on the TV, and watched the second plane hit live.

Phoned my parents who were in Spain, and due to fly back the next day, and couldn't get hold of my girlfriend who was getting on a plane at 2 p.m. that afternoon.

I didn't move until it was dark outside - it was the first time I've been truly scared. I was very distressed, and to this day, I wont go out on the anniversary - just a personal thing about showing respect.

Tragic day - when I see the footage now, I still struggle to believe it's real.

I also remember getting off the ferry & seeing all news papers not a nice thing to see first thing in the morning, truley disturbing & shocking.....i watched it all when i got home, & it was like being in a dream or watching a film, i couldn't believe what had happen.

Everytime i here 9/11 the one thing that sticks in my mind was the mum with 2 kids telling her husband that there plane had been hijacked & she loved him very much, then the phone went dead

1 minutes silence tomorrow, for all the people who lost there lives, especially all the fire fighters that did there upmost to save other peoples live & to lose there own

I was at home, just woke up & as usual the first thing i do in the morning is put sky news on to see what's happening around the world. I switched on in time to watch the 2nd plane hit the towers- it was a very disturbing moment & it's as if it wasnt real, i just couldnt believe what was going on. My thoughts tommorow will be with the family's of the people who lost their lives (R.I.P)
