Load enterprise manager on your local machine and add the server as a trusted connection.

my local machnie doesnt have enterprise manager...

i thught all i had to do was start..run... mmc then file.... open... SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC and i'd be able to add it... but it comes up with an error of snap-in failed to initialise and dont work...

do i need to install something on my local machine? (which does NOT have SQL server running on it)

SQL Enterprise manager.

i have 6.5 and 2000 enterprise only installed on mine here.

All I then do is connect to the servers using a trusted connection.
