Windows Vista Dreamscapes
Anyone tried these out yet? Basically you can have full screen videos as your desktop wallpapers. You can select as many files as you want, and it queues them up as a "dreamscape" and plays them one by one to give you a full screen video wallpaper.....
yes i know it's another vista gimmick that doesnt really amount to much or have any real purpose....but its fuckin cool
+10 points if you can guess the music video as well

I think its shit like the rest of vista.
Don't impress me one little bit to be honest and sums vista up totally in as much that its all visual bullshit rather than real improvement.
All the good features of Vista were dropped early on

I got a free RTM from MSDN so for nowt...i'm not too fussed. am yet to find VPN softwre that works though, but thats microsofts fault for not releasing SDKs early enough, or even telling the software houses that vista was nearly ready so pull their fingers out
Gimmicky...but it does what i need it for at home. not putting it on my work laptop just yet though, helllll no

slight oversight.....
just tried to remote desktop onto it.... you log in fine, but then seeing as it's constantly having to refresh the wallpaper (with it being a moving image) the rdp client just sits there trying to load the wallpaper. OOOOOOPS
think i'll be turning that off when i get home

Can you not switch off viewing video with the Remote Desktop then? I use VNC and I can switch off viewing video overlay but I'm guessing that the desktop isn't being detected as a video overlay by whatever client you're using to connect?
