Looking at this after the other thread as i only use google which is miles out of date i spotted this



Thats Houghton Main Colliery. The actually colliery is gone on this pic but only just as some of the buildings are still there and all the colliery site is still there. This was knocked down in 94, then opencast then redeveloped by about 96.....so this pics must be 95 ish...HOW OUT OF DATE?

my area is the exact same image as google earth
and is about 5 years out of date

yes same where i live. a housing block which has been there as long as i can remember is simply a rough patch of ground on the sat pics. makes you wonder what sort of pics the military and goverment have these days if they let us see these ones

I've lived in my house for 5 years and it aint even there on google...

my area shows my dads boat on the barge at the boat club in leigh (southend) cant be exactly sure but last year 2006 september time or july 2005 as these are the only times the boat was there

edit to add the site i use layout wise exactly same as local live

but the address i use is maps.live.com

Google doesnt show the above image, its all green. But looking at other parts i reckon google is about 6 years out up here....

Just looking at other areas now local live must be over 10 years easily

i was very supruised when i saw his boat there going by how old all other pics are if i look at rochester in kent where boat is now it about 5-6 years old date very strange

this is the same image on google! Redeveloped. There is a MASSIVE unit on there now tho...as its becoming industrial... Id sooner it be a mine tho
