Got put through a wall at work where do i stand now?
Basically on Saturday at work another college grabbed me and pushed me through the wall on the shop floor now there is a massive hole in the wall and it has caused some serious damage to my back. Just wanted some advice on what to do next as my boss doesn’t take it lightly when time is taken off for being ill or any reason for that matter and also there is going to be a disciplinary today with us too to investigate further into what happed. should i seek legal advise as my assistant manager told me to claim but would it go against the college or the company?

yeh hope you're ok old bean injuries can be a bastard and backs are the worst and it can be with you for life, I should know.
I fucked my knee while helping my boss at the time move offices because he was too tight to pay for a delivery company, stepped off the back of taillift carrying a desk and my knee went back against the joint and I have lived with that since
so don't take it lightly!

The employer is duty bound to provide a safe working environment for staff and that includes ensuring people dont go round assaulting other people or bullying them.

Wouldn't bother attempting sue anyone though as the only winner will be the lawyer.
As for getting other party fired, don't bother persuing that either as you're likely to be branded a snitch/trouble maker and besides the more reasonable of the 2 will be perceived as the 'injured' party.
That way come redundancy time or whatever it'll be the 'other' that gets the push/always assuming you're a worthwhile employee.
