Was the Blue Point stuff ever lifetime guaranteed?

I know the Snap-On stuff is, but didn't think the BP stuff was.

The name "Bluepoint" signifies the tools are NOT actually made by snap on, and as such they didnt usually carry a lifetime warranty.

halfords pro range has the lifetime warranty on them and look to be pretty similar to some of the snap on range....

also not badly priced if you have a trade card!

I agree. I've been using Halfords tools for a few years now and they are great.

Nothing is overpriced if you get a lifetime warrenty
"Oh its broke"
"Oh here, have a new un"

I to heard the rumour about snap on warranties
If Snap On stop the warrenties they may aswell just hand their business over to their competitors.

You know what i mean,
I would rather pay Ł30 for a snap on tool with a warrenty than Ł4 for a set from the local market

Or pay a tenner for it from Halfords and when it breaks you dont have to wait for the Snap-on van to come round to get it changed...

I thought the same aswell. But whats odd is Snap On don't make their own locking grips (like mole grips). Any locking grips bought from Snap On are actually made by Vise-Grip (part of the Irwin Tool Group) - but Snap On market them as Snap On grips - with the Snap On logo on them

Depends if you know your Snap On man tho doesn't it. If I have something break, I ring him up, and usually he gets over to me within the day, if possible (like if he's not in the area, then he can't, but if he can, he will)

snap on now do lifetime of the tool warrenty-ie go on the van with a broken breaker bar from 1916 and youll get naff all-thats what i was told by my local dealer-do prefer snap on it is overpriced and the halfords kit is good,i like the pay weekly part that snap on offer, would never have as much as i have if i had to buy it out right,
