Disagree. The rarity of the PLATE is important. If the cars condition is comparable to an H plate for example, then the J plate is worth more. It's been said many times that condition is more important, and it is in the first instance, but get two cars together in same condition one a J and one an F/G/H whatever, then the J is worth more due to the rarity. There's still a lot of S2 cars about and the rarer ones are becoming more valuable...BUT it's all based on condition to begin with.

There's pics of 3 of the 8 S2 cars on the S2 database. The white one has a new owner recently.

Well he's talking shit

Because no cars are made on a registration plate

The numberplate denotes when the new vehicle was registered nothing more, nothing less

It may well have sat in a stockpile in a field going rusty underneath for 2 or three years before being registered.

Its just another S2 with a novel numberplate.

Technically you're correct Matt..they're not MADE on a reg plate, only registered on them.
However, it didn't sit in a field going rusty for two or three years. It was registered March 1992 and was built in 1992. Which shows it was only around for max 3 months before being registered.

DVLA
Date of First Registration 21 03 1992

I said it MAY WELL have sat round going rusty. I pass hundreds of them every day on the way to work!

And great, its a late S2

My point was to say that cars manufacture dates and registration marks have no link at all which they dont

This was my first RST

Date of First Registration 21 05 1991
Year of Manufacture 1991

It wasn't made in 1991, it was made in early/mid 1990. My next RST was registered in late 1990 and was actually made after my 1991 registered car.

The lad that owns it now is from dundee, gets called spunky grant sold him the car last summer. had a brand new engine fitted by RJM a few years ago, car was always garaged when grant owned it aswell an has always been pretty well looked after.

im sure someone said the grey one lived aborad then when it came back it was registerd on a K plate?
