never raced one but a guy at work had one few years back,went out in it and wasnt impressed tbh,it also was forever breaking and cost him a fortune to maintain

ablsoutely trounced the arse of a GTSLOW im my RST.
Thought he was toying with me till we got to santa pod and he asked what was under my bonnet as he couldnt keep up with me.

I destroyed a gto in my stage 3 saff i had a few years ago, the bloke was fuming as he was ranting about his 450bhp in the gto 
, To be fair it may of been but it was slow compared to a stage 3 saff 4x4.
I had the chance to go out in one that was rolling road proven 700bhp and it just didnt feel impressive, on the local private road he got up to 150mph before breaking for the long right hand corner where last year my t4 equipped saff was almost off the clock

was in my uncles mates tuned P1 and gto couldnt touch it at all......
also raced a ferrari 360 in it aswell.....beat that aswell but it did have 450bhp and 100bhp of nos on top, was stupidly fast....
only down point on the car was after 120mph it was horrible as the bonnet kept lifting....(stupid huge vent on it grr
)
was doing 0-60 in 4seconds dead he also coverd up the vent and tried the topspeed....managed around 170mph before it was getting twichy...
what are those gto's standard anyways (bhp, 0-60, topspeed?)

i like supras.....but there all looks and power in my eyes....would have a subaru over them anyday....then you get the looks...power, handleing and space

ive got memorys of one of them passing me (i was walking) about 12 at night....was a black one... hurd it coming up the road and was thinking what the f$&k is this and it jus shot passd..pierced my ear drums and i turned round to try and have a glance...it backfired and lit the back of the car with flames... i think it was about 400/450bhp so i was told...
ive so got to own one in my lifetime!!

If you did a top speed run with that covered up you would have nearly melted the internals and i doubt did the engine anygood at all whats so ever,infact im not so sure that you would have got 170mph out of it.
Unless you had a front mounted intercooler in place?? and if you did well thats different

my step dads getting a new car soon...aint sure what hes going to get but he likes the imprezza sti and also the sti wagon....but he wouldnt have any less than 300bhp....but he likes standard quick cars...he doesnt like buying cars that have already been messed with....

was out in my mates Standard GT4 (205) Celica, and a GTO was just about keeping up... so yes, they are boats!

yeah, bit strange that they arent very quick, Dont know much about the engine but I'm sure decent power can be made from them if you throw enough money at them, and lets be honest we're not short of dumbass money throwers in this country.
No idea what the 4wd system is like and I know they are a bit heavy, maybe its these 2 factors that slow them down.
Either way it seems the owners think they own something genuinely fast
