I was cought doing 56 in a 30 (it was duel carriage way and my s1 speedo desided to die that day ) so was guessing 60 as thats whot i fort i was ment to be doing being duel carriage way att

But i had to do the speed course whitch costed me £110 + £60 fine and 3 points But it was worth it as i had'nt long pasted my HGV

just do what we do when we get shit like that or flashed etc go down the nearest pub and ask whos got a valid licence and kindly let them take the blame for driving at said speeds on said day and then donate say a hundred in the kind sirs pocket.job done

Lee, the first thing you need to do is go to Pepipoo.

I got caught in 2005, spoke to a specialist and highly recommended solicitor who told me to just take the hit. I decided to fight instead and after a lot of help from the guys at pepipoo, I got the case dropped.

You have to be prepared to stand your ground though

ask for the picture evidence, they only take 1 pic with the camera so you may be able to fight that they cant calculate the speed with one pic?

I got caught by this bastard camera/van last year.

I had never heard of the A449 Llandenny before hand...blimmin well do now - much like yourself.

I did the "dont know who was driving guv - let me see the evidence"
Well i got some standard, we have received your letters and will deal with them in due course.

They wrote back to say that there was no forward facing camera and that it was a rear facing cam.

I pushed again to say that i was unsure who was steering and what did they suggest? Nadda, nothing. In the end i back dated my NIP and forwarded it with another letter stating that they had backed me into a corner and made me sign under juress.

I didnt want to go up in front of the beak and perjure [sp] myself as i damn wel know it was only me in the car.

Summons have come through for the speeding offence......and for extra good measure they've also chucked in failing to state who was driving.....(which I did from advise from my solicitor)

Just spoken to my solicitor & he reckons that because they've done that then hes got something good to go on!!!!

acted daft at court n said,, i need my lisence for work otherwise i'd lose my job and would cost more paying taxi / bus fares

also said that i couldnt afford to lose my job due to my mortgage and also was planning of family commitments

then they had a talk to each other the 3 of em.. then "we will endorse your license and endorse 6 penalty points"

and a fine of £200!!

i was buzzing my arse off...lol

well my 50 in a 30 earnt me 5 points, £155 fine and £35 costs.

didnt attend court either cos i was working

wrote a letter saying sorry i could be there etc on the mitigation form, and the cunts still gave me that

was quite tempted to write em another letter calling them all cunts too

One of the blokes who works for my Dad got nailed by the Taffy old bill at over a ton. My Dad wrote him a letter stating that he needs his licence for work etc (which is true) and he got 6 points and a fine.

He got a proper bollocking though as he was in a hire car that work were paying for, and they are a government agency so "have to make a stand".

oh dear,id say your almost certain to be banned for that one. especially if the weather wasnt to good and it was misty as you said.
i once got banned for a while in my younger,more carefree days. after the first couple of months you get used to sitting next to big fat sweaty office workers on the bus. problem is though is you never learn from your mistakes

ive seen that excuse go against people in court with the judge saying you should have thought of that before commiting the offence and banning them to teach them a lesson,especially if they have previous convictions for speeding.

i got caught 4 or 5 months ago driving a car, with no tax mot, insurance, number plates, L plates or bonnet, oh and no licence and only being 16 at the time (i was turning it round at the end of my road )

any way, came to a totall of 21 pionts, and i got off with 3 youth offending meetings and no fine and no pionts.

i got done like that on the A249 with only one pic
i asked for the second picture to verify i was doing the speeds they said i was doing and they sent the same picture back again
so i asked again for a second picture and that was the last i heard of it some 2 eyars back no i think

You might be lucky and only get points and a hefty fine for this mate, all depends on the judge who's dealing with the case.

Got caught doing 111mph on my last bike and was banned for 2 months and fined £350, solicitor put forward a good case for me and said that losing my license would also mean losing my job as im a mot tester/recovery driver, judge just said i should have thought about that before i rode at that speed.....cunt.

My solicitor did say for me to expect anything up to a 12 month ban and probably have to resit my test as they are keener now to make examples of folk doing these speeds !!!!

2mph slower would have made all the difference mate
