Superb, it would be like looking into the sun its that bright

Anyway it says intermittent use only, just wondered why it cant be used for too long a time? does the bulb blow or it gets too hot or something?

We use these at work and the batteries always go on them. Don't last very long before needing recharged either.

Good when they work though!

Well mine was from halfrauds, got it for a pressie for my dads birthday as he only has a shitty hand torch which you need to bash to make it shine i got this one out of the box and it was already super bright but it wasnt fully charged. I hope it last longer than 15mins though did you guys mean 15 continuous mins, or 15mins spread out between say 2-3 days? surly turning on say once a day for 2mins it would last for weeks surly? especially when they take 20hrs to charge(well the one ive got does)

It uses a 100w halogen car headlight bulb.

It consumes power at a FAR greater rate than the little charger replaces it at, so yes it is right that it takes a LOT longer to charge than it lasts, dont know the exact figures though.

We have one, its called Dave

I promise you, that is right.

Mine, which is old now and only about 1,000,000 Candle power just about gets me out to the shed, quick shufty and that's about it. The amount of 'Oh fucking heap of shit torch' exclamations that have left my gob when using that fucker is untrue.

I swear, the last time I used it, I really thought I wasn't going to able to prevent myself dismantling it forcefully against the wall.

I'm looking forward to the update to this thread next week when you are truly fucked off as the one time that you really needed the torch, the batteries were flat!!

Does it just die instantly then or does it get progressively dimmer like a normal torch ?

Progressively dimmer, but it doesn't take long once it starts to fade.

Imagine you have a raging rod-on and Margaret Thatcher walks in the room naked. That's the sort of rate we are talking......
