Whos up for it to Beat the "DORF" around Brunters
Hi peeps
This a similiar post to what cossierich has posted
how do you fancy beating the "Dorf" around brunters with your Ford ?
if you do why not speak to Performance ford about putting your car against the "DORF around Bruntingthorpe
he has a brand new Focus ST which is 222bhp with 236lb/ft and has set a respectable time of 1m 33.1 secounds road tyres
so if you think you have a good quick car you could always put your car against it no matter what ford you have got no matter what power
you will then know how good you and your car are
it has 2 long striaghts long sweeping fast corners except for one very tight 1st/2nd gear/ jobie cicane (spelling)
if your ford is younger than 1983 you will be able to have a go no problem at all
speak to nick or dave they will gladly help you out
i had a great time yesterday in the Rs2000 i didn't do too bad concidering it was flooded/wet the car was all over the shop ...lol.. i enjoyed the whole day
there has been a few peeps that have beat it allready in the dry and in the wet tooo
it's worth a bash chaps if your intrested
thanks Nick for yesterday i enjoyed very bit of it
and fair play to Steve Scott beat my time in the New ST with his eyes closed
I even cheated and missed the chicane on one lap and he still beat it
that fooker would go fast in a fooking wheelbarrow
it's all good fun anyway
cheers Marco

I was the first car to have a go at beating the Dorf in Aug '06 issue. Before I had my Quaife ATB and coilovers fitted
I posted a lowly 1:37.9 but what a great day I had. Hope you did as well, Marco.

Hi Arun
I have a wicked day and really enjoyed myself , i cant say what time i did
but the condtions was very very wet/bad coming into the bottom 2 corners off the back end striaght the car aquaplaned really bad also
the left hander near jumbo that was unbeliveable the car aquaplaned thought the whole lot at one point i lost the back end flat out though there when into 3 spins 360's
i came back in after that
it never really dryed out but the rain stoped about 3pm the track was getting a bit better
even so i had a wicked day and your time is very respectable and abig well done fair play for putting it out

Got the latest EVO mag yesterday and they had a hot hatch duel in it were the ST got beaten by a couple of cars so it cant be that fast can it. That DORF must be quite good or our old Ford sheds are crap? ...or none of us can drive....or all of the above.

hi mate
you wont know untill you try personally i dont care what time i done but it was good to be out having a play thats the mainthing
i did an unofficail time of a 1m36.4 seconds in the wet/rain
it wont count because i never quite made the chicane
if you are that worried about a crap time that means you wouldn't enter anything
the whole point of the car sceen is too enjoy your car that you have built or had built surly ?
its caled having fun and to enjoy the free offer that they have provided

i had an excellent day there even though i only did 1 lap and got told off for the exhaust being too loud,i had to stop after the 3rd lap.
did a couple more but had to slow down where the mic was.
i hope all the big powered cars that the owners are shouting about ,i hope they have a go,see what they can do with all that power around the track and not just in straight lines
get your name down.

Marco, i had a wicked time at Brunty, I can't imagine spinning on that left hander by the jumbo, I was going round that flat out in 4th at about 105mph. Was very scary so good on you for giving it your all in the wet
It was absolutely pouring it down when we got to Brunty, but started to clear up as we took some pics near the jumbo. By the time I hit the circuit, it had pretty much all but dried out apart from a big puddle on th exit of the double right handers at the end of the runway.

Hi Arun
i dont know what speed i was doing when i lost it but was in 4th gear full guns blazing , i was glad it never went in the grass it could have rolled it easy
i have to buy a cage i really do , at one point at the top chicane i had the Rs on 2 wheels going through it
i think they have got a few pics of it off the ground .
it's only a standard car except for brakes /suspension /no interior
145 bhp i think (150 ps when new)
its a good car tho i do like it alot and it's good fun
thats the mainthing
