Default cam choice for 400bhp?

hi all,

just wondering what cam choices people are using on their cossies at around 400hp? am considering a bd14 in, standard exhaust, but wondered if there are any other or better ways to go about it?

engine spec is basically:

200 block, standard crank
4wd pistons, heavy standard rods
arp stud and nut kit, cometic head gasket
2wd head (will be mildly ported),standard valves
t34 .63
greys
500 cooler

thanks

MD, I would reccomend the standard cams, perhaps with verniers for timing adjustment.

Standard 4x4 pistons will be OK, but I would use 7.8: 1 c/r pistons.

No need for the ARP stud & nut kit IMO.....just use genuine Ford/Cosworth sourced standard head bolts.

At that power level the T34 needs to be in very good condition, or better still it should be rebuilt with a 360 degree bearing, and 7 degree cut back exhaust wheel.

Everything else looks
