Turbo identity with pics take a look please need your help
Right ive bought this brand new T3, sold to me as a series one unit. Ive hit a problem with it and have spoken to a few mates who have given me advice. Its deffo a brand new unit built with brand new parts. Externally its the same as my old S1 unit but the exhaust impeller apears to be bigger, as my exhaust housing wont fit on. It hits the blades at the bottom of the exhaust impeller, also the impeller shaft seems to be longer. The other difference is small the oil return pipe mounting threads are M10 and not M8.
So can any one help with what this is ???
1. Is it strandard S1
2.Is it cosworth( no water cooling would suggest not)
3.Is it a hybrid
Next should i fit a .48 housing to get this thing on, or a mate has suggested removing a small amount of metal from the inside of the exhaust housing will give me the clearance for the housing to fit ok. I have looked at what he says and it will clear if i do this, this way i can keep the standard looks of the car.

without measurements i couldnt confirm but it wont be cossy as they run "standard" t3 shafts which are the same as rst. thats all i can say really without having it here. as said above probably some random ebay jobbie. Most of the units on ebay are random specs that are not suitable for your type of engine, tend to run commercial exhaust wheels hence need larger emmision outputs to spin up the wheel causing excessive lag

causing excessive lag
seems to be theres a lot of these on ebay....
cant see why they would, all i can think of is, that they get them cheaper for commercial than cars
moza,...
i have in stock, reconditioned "standard" t3 shaft/wheel assembly, and would be able to change for you for a good price.
pm me for details if interesed.
