Account theft
Not quite what you might think. A while ago we started recieving bills from both scottish power and british gas. Both bills had the same units. But we were with scottish power, never spoken to british gas ever. We didnt pay the british gas bills and ignored them seeing as they were TWICE scottish powers bills! Then scottish power bills stoppd and british gas contnued. We cant get rid of british gas and they now want to take us to court. We have written to them time and time again and they ignore everything we ask, ie what is our contract, etc
Anyone else had this?

Complain to energy watch (The Governing Body)
I Used to work for powergen and BG Used to always be taking powergen customers without there consent... They dont need your signature just a "yes" over the phone... Then the sales rep gets their commission.... so if you tell them to f%$k off over the phone and the sales guy/girl needs to meet there figures.... They will just sign you up!
You need to take a current meter reading and phone Scottish power and say that BG has taken over your supply without your consent (erroneous transfer) They will transfer your account back & contact BG to sort out the meter readings.
Also make an energy watch complaint... As that will put to the top of there list to sort out and get them in the shit & it will go back to the person who falsified the contract
Hope this helps if not give me a PM for more advice!

you are 100% correct, mainly is over the phone as they are a verbal contract.... So its easy for the sales rep to make it up and say the customer agreed to
