cosworth head bolts & long stud & wrc gasket Q
follow on from head bolt topic.I know its very hard to get hold of the genuine head bolts for the cosworth ..so what now??do we use the alternative ones people are selling the 10.9 ones and what are peoples thought on theses head bolts how many of you are running 500 bhp+ on std head bolts and I know long stud is best but this is why I am asking coz not sure what to do as there are people that run this power with std head bolts and 4 layer wrc gasket your thoughts please

I'm going to continue using 10.9 ones as supplied by Burton (i have some in their packaging) and Matt Lewis, and Amber. Probably everyone other than MAD and Cosworth supply JUST the 10.9 ones.
Never had a problem with them, and until I see different (proper SCIENTIFIC tests rather than hearsay and guesswork) I'm not going to change.
Plus I'll still be on my Cometic gasket.

I was sure it was Mark @ MAdevelopments that said that the genuine Cosworth ones weren't the 10.9 stamped ones
Obviously there is only one headbolt now and no doubt if they supply those then they are fine to use

Can you anser my email please Mark
Woodford sell the 10.9 bolts, as i found out when i recieved mine. Not really Simon's fault as he is under the impression that they are the correct type. But he will refund you if you arent happy and dont want to use them as he has said to me
