Default rsoc reg shows

after the success of our second joint show with the derby group does anyone else think that this is the way forward for the show scene, my personal veiw is it is, after a show like ours other reg day organisers and groups need to seriously think about it as it shows what can be achieved with a bit of imagination and a lot of hard work, i have spoke to a few people who wont be bothering atteding certain shows next year due to them being 'boring' and nothing there, i agree with this totally, some of the reg shows are a half baked attempt at a show imo, anyone else agree or disagree???

Our Show,Central RSOC at the Pod is a top show by all accounts

agree m8, think people need to be a bit more adventurous, track action makes the day imo, if the scene goes towards reg days with track action i think it will be a rebirth of the rsoc, everywhere has a local (ish) track so theres no excuse

I think drag strip action would work as well as track, or even a 0-60 or sprint bit of fun would add spice to a static show. Maybe peeps like Kent and Middx should get together and do a show between them or with other local grps, peeps like Nth london are not big enough but could probably contribute towards a show

It all comes down to money at the end of the day. Most venues need booking money in advance, and not all groups have several thousand quid just sitting about for a deposit

It dont matter where a show is held or what its gots when it comes down to it really. It could have all the track action or lack of it.

But the things below also count importantly as get all of these or some of these wrong and they day is spoiled for a lot of people

Good orginisation
Freindly atomosphere
Feeling your car is safe
Length of queues to access or leave
Lack of traders (okay not always the organisers fault)
Lack of toiltes
Lack of catering
Lack of visting groups etc
Rivalary between groups

Well thats my views anyway
